Toronto gets iced

It’s been quite a year for weather in Toronto. The ice storm which hit just days before the holidays knocked hydro out in over 300,000 homes plunging Torontonians into the dark and cold. An icy sheet covered everything including the trees which snapped bringing down hydro lines that wouldn’t be fixed in some areas for well over a week. Warming centres were opened across the city and many offered up their homes for a hot shower and respite from the freezing temperatures.
