Earth Hour in Roncy Village

Earth Hour is a symbolic international event celebrated in over 150 countries around the globe, including right here in Toronto’s Roncesvalles Village. The global community turns out the lights and dials down the electricity for one hour each year to raise awareness about climate change and the environment. A candlelight walk was led up Roncesvalles Avenue by the Etobicoke School of the Arts’ SPLASH show choir, followed by an outdoor concert and speeches by local NDP MPP Cheri DiNovo and MP Peggy Nash.
