Rally and march for International Women’s Day

Women and their allies gathered outside OISE at Bloor Street West and St. George to rally, march and celebrate the upcoming International Women’s Day on March 8th. The march left at 1pm and headed for a brief rendezvous at City Hall to leave chalk messages aimed mostly at Mayor Rob Ford and his proposed cutbacks.
International Women’s Day has been celebrated for over 100 years and seeks to acknowledge women’s achievements around the globe while also pushing forward for change on a social, economic and political scale.
