What started last year as a Toronto uprising against derogatory comments made by a Toronto Police Officer has now turned into an internationally recognized event. SlutWalk, now in its second year, drew a crowd close to 1000 people. The message was loud and clear that victim-blaming and sex-shaming are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. The march began at Nathan Phillips Square before heading up University Ave to the south lawn of Queen’s Park, where speakers addressed the crowd.
